Thanks for your interest in getting involved with Occupy Bernal. There are many ways to get involved, from signing up as a Foreclosure/Eviction Fighter or a Home Defender to attending a General Assembly meeting or joining an Occupy Bernal Workgroup to focus on a specific area of organizing.

Foreclosure/Eviction Fighters
Foreclosure/Eviction Fighters are our neighbors (owners and renters) who the banks are trying to evict from their homes, foreclose on their homes, and/or sell their homes at foreclosure auctions due to predatory or for-profit mortgage loans.
Are you a home owner who the banks are preparing to evict from or foreclosure on your home? Or are you a renter the banks are evicting from your home or foreclosing on the owner of the property you are renting? Either way, we can help!
Sign up as a Foreclosure/Eviction Fighter on the short form. If you have already signed up as a Foreclosure/Eviction Fighter and you want to work more actively, you can take the next step by filling out the longer Foreclosure/Eviction Fighter Intake form. Please provide as much information as you can about your situation, so that we can best assist you.
Please note: Occupy Bernal has joined the Occupy the Auctions/Evictions campaign to build capacity to halt predatory and for-profit evictions, foreclosures, and foreclosure auctions in San Francisco and beyond.
Home Defenders
Home Defenders help those facing bank evictions, foreclosures, and foreclosure auctions. Assistance could include responding to action alerts by phone or email, researching which home owners and renters need help, and standing in solidarity to prevent a home eviction or to protest a foreclosure auction.

Occupy Bernal General Assemblies take place regularly from 7:00-9:00pm on the second and fourth Thursday evenings of each month at the Bernal Heights Neighborhood Center, 515 Cortland St. Please check the Calendar for confirmation.
